Key Responsibilities
- Create and optimize database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions in SQL Server to support data storage and retrieval.
- Perform data modeling for relational systems to ensure efficient data organization.
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using SSIS or equivalent tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in SQL Server databases and ETL processes through indexing, query optimization, and server configuration.
- Collaborate with UI Developers, data scientists, and stakeholders to align data structures with analytical and reporting needs.
- Monitor SQL Server instance health, ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance.
- Automate tasks such as data management, pipeline execution, and monitoring using SQL Server Agent or scripting tools.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage tasks using Jira.
- Use GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
- Maintain documentation and contribute to cross-team knowledge sharing.
Role Description
- Minimum 5+ years in SQL Server or other DBMS development
- Strong experience in SSIS or ETL tools & job automation
- Strong data modeling and DB object design experience
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira)
- Experience with GitHub for version control
- Experience supporting data requirements for analysts, data scientists, and business teams
Good to Have (Not Mandatory)
- Experience or knowledge of MongoDB
- Experience or knowledge of Snowflake
- Exposure to AI Projects
- Exposure to DevOps tools and practices
