Role Overview
We are looking for a design-focused WordPress Developer who combines strong technical expertise with a sharp eye for design and user experience.
This role requires someone who can confidently work inside existing WordPress websites, build new features, and translate design files into pixel-perfect, high-performing web pages. The ideal candidate understands both development and visual implementation, ensuring that websites are not only functional but also polished and user-friendly.
You will primarily work with WordPress-based websites for client projects, implementing designs, maintaining site infrastructure, and ensuring performance, security, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
WordPress Development
- Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites.
- Develop custom themes and plugins when needed.
- Work confidently within existing WordPress codebases and builder-based sites.
- Use WordPress hooks, actions, and filters effectively.
- Implement custom functionality using PHP, JavaScript, and CSS.
Design Implementation
- Convert Figma / Adobe XD designs into pixel-perfect WordPress pages.
- Implement responsive layouts across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Apply strong design judgment to improve usability and visual polish when necessary.
- Ensure interactions, hover states, links, and UI behaviors follow best UX practices.
WordPress Builders & Tools
- Build and modify pages using tools such as:
- Elementor
- Other modern WordPress builders
- Work with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and custom post types.
- Integrate dynamic content and reusable components.
Site Management & Hosting
- Manage WordPress environments including:
- WP Engine
- cPanel
- Other hosting platforms
- Use SSH access and server basics when needed.
- Create and manage staging environments.
- Perform backups, restores, and deployments safely.
Performance, SEO & Maintenance
- Implement technical SEO recommendations provided by the team.
- Maintain site performance and follow best practices for optimization.
- Follow internal SOPs for:
- WordPress updates
- Security checks
- Plugin maintenance
- Website monitoring
WooCommerce
- Work on WooCommerce-based websites when required.
- Implement layout or functionality updates on WooCommerce stores.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of professional WordPress development experience
- Strong expertise in:
- PHP
- JavaScript
- HTML/CSS
- Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development
- Strong understanding of:
- WordPress architecture
- Hooks, actions, and filters
- Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
- Experience converting Figma or Adobe XD designs into production websites
- Familiarity with WordPress page builders (especially Elementor)
- Experience with hosting environments and site management
- Comfortable working with SSH, staging environments, and backups
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Avada, Elementor
- Familiarity with website performance optimization
- Experience implementing technical SEO requirements
- Understanding of modern web UX best practices
